What kind of Laptop should i get for college?

What I need is a Laptop for college with an Intel i5 or i7, at least 640gb hard drive, 4 or 6 gigs of ram, video camera and dvd burner and bluetooth. I also need it not to overheat and the battery life to last me at least 6 hours. I'd also like to get it for under $1000 and I don't want a MacBook so any suggestions and i've been looking at samsungs and lenovo a lot are those good?
