Is It Ok To Give A 5 Week Old Baby A Soother?

I am breastfeeding him but sometimes he just wants something to suck on but not acutally feed and if i offer him the nipple and something comes out(milk obv) then he ccries but if i give him a soother he sucks and then falls asleep
